BRT is a high profile rapid transit mode that combines the speed, image and permanence of light rail with the cost and flexibility of bus. BRTuk seeks to raise the profile of, and develop a centre of excellence in, bus rapid transit.
BRTuk does not seek to promote bus-based rapid transit above all other modes. BRTuk seeks to enhance understanding of bus rapid transit and what it can do, and allow a fair and informed comparison against other modes.
This website explains the objectives of BRTuk, provides details of membership together
with a membership application form and gives links to other websites relevant to BRT.
The website also provides a members-only area giving data sources
to assist promoters and operators of BRT systems.
